Travel

Getting to Steamboat Springs, Colorado

FLYING

There are 2 main airports that you can fly into to get to Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Denver International Airport - DIA (DEN) is located in Denver, Colorado and is about a 3 and a half hour drive to Steamboat via I-70 and Highway 40.

Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN) is located in Hayden, Colorado, and is about 35 minutes away from Steamboat Springs. We recommend this option if you are flying, as it can be cheaper than Denver!

DRIVING

Driving from Denver: From Denver, Steamboat Springs is about a 3 and half hour drive via I-70 and Highway 40.

Driving from Northern Colorado: From Fort Collins, we like to drive through the Poudre Canyon on Highway 14 to Highway 40. This is a scenic drive and takes about 3 hours and 10 minutes.

Getting Around Town

Steamboat Springs is a relatively small mountain town. A car is helpful for most travel, however, there is a free bus that goes around the town as well.

You can get a rental car from Denver International Airport or from the Hayden Airport.

Free Bus:

UBER is also available in Steamboat Springs, and is a highly recommended way to get around without dealing with parking!

Lodging

There are plenty of places to stay in Steamboat. Feel free to stay wherever you'd like! The options listed below are just some of our favorites.

Please note, there are large baseball competitions happening in Steamboat the same weekend as our wedding, so we recommend securing your hotel well in advance! Please reach out to Jen with any questions!

The Village at Steamboat Springs

(Also called Wyndham Steamboat Springs or Worldmark Steamboat Springs)

Max and Jen plan to stay at the Village. We like these condo-style units because they have full kitchens, multiple bedrooms, a living area, and nice amenities.

You can book a unit on Airbnb, VRBO, Hotels.com, or through Sam's Club Travel. Please feel free to call Jen’s mom, Kathy, with any questions or if you need help! Kathy Prior (720) 427-0114

It may currently show that this location is fully booked - it is not! Check the other name or another website to find it. Feel free to call Jen or Kathy if you have questions!

Address: 900 Pine Grove Cir, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487

Residence Inn

The Residence Inn in town is lovely. It is our second favorite place to stay, other than the Village. They have free breakfast, a fire pit and pool, and a nice location.

We have reserved a hotel block at a slightly reduced rate: https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1774391429543&key=GRP&app=resvlink&_branch_match_id=789660756337758994&_branch_referrer=H4sIAAAAAAAAA8soKSkottLXTywo0MtNLCrKzC8p0UvOz9UvSi3OyczLtgdK2ALZZSCOWmaKraG5uYmxpaGJkaWpibFadmqlrXtQgFpdUWpaKlB3Xnp8UlF%2BeXFqka1zRlF%2BbioA0EvZimAAAAA%3D

Q + A

What time should I arrive to the wedding?

The Yampa River Botanic Park opens daily at dawn. We recommend you arrive early to enjoy the beauty of the park! Our ceremony will begin at 10:30 AM, so we request that you arrive and be seated by 10:15 AM. Due to the parking being very full for the baseball competitions, we recommend arriving earlier, or using UBER to carpool!

What do I wear to the Wedding?

Please dress in what makes YOU feel comfortable and confident. We do not have a dress code. We hope that you choose to wear what you feel good in. Jen will be wearing a white dress. Max will probably wear cowboy boots, jeans or slacks, and a dress shirt. We are hoping this is a casual and comfortable day for all! Additionally, this is an outdoor ceremony in the summer in Colorado. We recommend checking the weather forecast before packing. As we Coloradans know, it can be 100 degrees or snowing. We are hoping for beautiful 75-degree summer weather, but, we'd recommend you bring a jacket just in case.

Is there parking at the ceremony and reception locations?

Yes, there are large lots, however, we are told that parking will be very limited at both the Botanic Park and Howelsen Hill. The Triple Crown baseball tournament is happening the same weekend as our wedding and will be on the fields next to our venue locations. We recommend carpooling to the wedding locations if possible. You may need to park a little bit further away and walk around 10 minutes to the locations. Please plan accordingly and leave earlier in case you need to park a ways away, or simply use UBER to get there. Steamboat is a small town, and the furthest UBER ride would probably only be 10 minutes at most.

What should I pack?

You are spending the weekend in a mountain town! We recommend packing layers, a swimsuit (for the Hot Springs!), a water bottle, and closed-toed shoes. Visit this site for more information about Steamboat Springs: https://www.steamboatchamber.com/

What is the weather like in Steamboat?

The average for June is highs of mid-70s, and lows in the 40s at night. It is usually beautiful, sunny, and warm in the day, and cool in the morning and evening.

Are kids allowed?

Yes, yes, yes! We love kids! Fun fact: almost 20% of our guest list are kids!

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

Only service animals are allowed at both the Botanic Park as well as at Howlesen Hill. Thank you.

Is there a Registry?

Your presence is the gift! We have everything we need to make our house a home, so we do not need any gifts. The only thing we don't have is a home of our own! If you would like to gift us any monetary amount toward our goal of purchasing a home, we would appreciate it greatly! Thank you! Additionally, Jen is sentimental and would love to receive cards or notes.

How do I RSVP?

Please RSVP online on this website by APRIL 10th, 2026. Your RSVP is only for your attendance at the wedding ceremony at the Botanic Park and the lunch reception at Howelsen Hill Olympian Hall. Please feel free to join in on other events as you wish.

I want to volunteer to support in the wedding! What do I do?

We would love some volunteers! Please reach out to Jen and Max through their email at JenandMaxMachut@gmail.com to let them know you'd like to volunteer your time for our wedding! We are still looking for some volunteers to set up chairs, tables, and decor, and folks willing to cook at the grill-out! Thank you so much in advance if you are able to support us in this!

What's the deal with this picture?

Jen painted this painting to use for the wedding invitations. It includes icons from most of the locations we plan to visit during our wedding week!
