Our story is long and crazy, most of you know it. Of course people would ask question like, How’d he meet a girl from Georgia? How did I meet a guy from Ohio? They say things that are meant to be, find a way and that’s exactly what happened. Trying to make a long story short so here we go! Brooks and I met at my best friends (Sarah) wedding in Georgia. Brooks and Joel ( Joel plays a part, just hang in there ) and Sarah had met briefly a couple years back in Las Vegas. Sarah invited Brooks and Joel to her wedding. I’m still unsure as to why she invited them after knowing them such a short amount of time. Anyway, Brooks and I made a connection by talking about the cars we were driving. At some point during the afternoon, he gave me his coat; He also MADE me dance with him and occasionally we made conversation throughout the night. By the end of Sarah's wedding, he said something to me that made me angry and annoyed. That being said, I hadn’t seen or really heard of him since the wedding. Meanwhile, Joel and I had become good friends. He was renting out Sarah's house, which was right down the street from mine. Fast forward a bit, almost a year after the wedding, Joel invited me over to the house. He told me he had some friends over and wanted me to go out to dinner with them. I headed over to Joel’s and walked inside and there Brooks was bent over tying his shoe. I wanted so badly to knock him over but I didn’t. It took a lot of convincing on Joel’s part to talk me into going to dinner at this point.... I ended up going out to eat with them.Brooks and I sat at different ends of the table and I glared at him the entire night. I know, imagining me glaring at anyone is hard to believe... Fast forward, again, we ate and we all went back to Joel’s. After a while Brooks asked why I was so mad at him. I told him what happened the night of the Sarah's wedding and he was stunned. He automatically started apologizing. After he apologized and we had gotten all the issues out we were okay. We talked all night about cars, friends, love, and more cars. The next day he was leaving for Ohio and I went back to work. After maybe three days of denial and trying to get him out of my head, I asked Joel for Brooks’ number. We talked for about a month and dated for six months before I moved up to Ohio. I have been here over two and half years now and the rest is history! "You don't find love, it finds you.
