On a wonderfully serendipitous evening of January 6th, 2022, Jenay and Scott's paths crossed thanks to some very thoughtful mutual friends. They met over drinks, where the laughter was as plentiful as the beverages. But, while Scott was already impressed, Jenay's thoughts were partly occupied with the imminent arrival of her new puppy, Petunia Marie. Talk about a PAW-SOME distraction! Despite the initial puppy distractions, a delightful friendship began to bloom between Jenay and Scott. Over the next year, they became the ultimate duo, engaging in all sorts of fun activities like playing endless rounds of UNO (where Scott often found himself suspiciously losing), sharing delicious dinners, bowling, and even throwing hatchets (thankfully everyone survived). Their bond grew stronger with each shared adventure. On January 21st, 2023, the universe gave them a nudge, and Scott and Jenay officially upgraded their status from friends to something much more romantic. Their relationship, built on a strong foundation of friendship, thrived as they moved in together, transforming a mere house into a cozy, love-filled home. In February of 2024, they added another fur-baby to their family, a spirited puppy named Bud, who brought even more joy and laughter into their lives. As the year unfolded, Scott and Jenay's love story hit new heights, culminating in a not so surprise proposal on December 19th, 2024. After much playful nagging (Jenay might say it was gentle persuasion), Scott finally popped the question, and Jenay said of course said YES. They embraced the promise of a shared future, ready to embark on the next, exciting chapter of their incredible journey together. Now, as they stand on the brink of marriage, Jenay and Scott look back at the beautiful, laughter-filled moments that brought them to this point. Their story is a testament to the power of friendship, joy, and love—an inspiring tale that will continue to unfold as they build a life filled with happiness, adventure, and unwavering companionship.
