We first met each other through our mutual friend Matt (one of the groomsmen). He invited us over to his house to watch Insidious in his basement. After that, we were distant friends for about a year. Then, in junior year of high school, we started to talk more frequently. Eventually, Landon asked me to be his "official girlfriend" on Dec. 8th, 2012 while on a school day-trip to Washington D.C. We then continued to date throughout college.

As we graduated college, we began talking about getting married. We first went to Landon's uncle Michael at Van Horn Jewelers to start designing an engagement ring together.

Then, on June 12th, 2019 we went to see one of our favorite musicians, Jon Bellion, perform live in Philadelphia, where Landon proposed to me in the hotel room before we left for the concert.

I stepped out of the bathroom ready to go and he was on one knee, just as I expected him to be. He said "Are you ready to see it?" referring to the ring that we designed, but I had yet to see in person. I replied with "Aren't you going to ask me?" and he quickly said "Oh yeah, marry me!" in more of a demanding voice than a request. I then said "Ok, I'm ready to see it!" He replied with "Aren't you going to say yes?" and I quickly said "Oh right... yes!".
