Jenna matched for residency in Arizona in 2017, little did she know shortly after moving from Ohio she would meet the love of her life, Kevin!
Kevin and Jenna first met during her residency interview, even though Kevin has no recollection of this (rude) and Jenna was too nervous at the interview to remember anything anyways (even though she does remember he was late.. this still has not changed).
Months later at a work happy hour, they officially meet again. Working at separate hospitals their paths rarely crossed. All Jenna has to say is thank goodness for work messenger because she wasn't sly enough to get Kevin's number.
Days later, Jenna nervously debated for hours whether she should message Kevin, which (spoiler alert) she did!

They went to Cold Brews and Cheeseburgers for their 'first date', where Jenna blabbered for 80% of the time and upon leaving she managed to turn down a dead end road instead of getting on the highway. Kevin witnessed it all and kindly waited a few days before letting her know he saw the whole thing. She knew he was a keeper from the beginning.

Kevin and Jenna booked a trip to Maui for November 2019 for some R&R and to burn as many timeshare points as physically possible since they were due to expire.
Kevin knew he was going to propose on the trip he just didn't know when, Jenna was hoping he was going to propose but didn't want to jinx it.
Kevin brought his brand new backpack on the trip and he was guarding it like his life depended on it. Day 1 of backpack guarding, Jenna thought the proposal might happen. It did not. Day 2 of backpack guarding, Jenna's hopes were still high for the proposal, which still didn't happen. Day 3 of backpack guarding, Jenna had pretty much given up proposal hope and decided to enjoy the rest of vacation.
Well on that third day of backpack guarding, the morning of November 21, 2019, Kevin and Jenna took a morning walk on the shores of Maui. He told her to close her eyes and then she heard some rummaging through that favorite backpack of his. Sweet words followed, which Jenna honestly can't remember because she was screaming 'YES' in her head the entire time. Kevin proposed with the "Ring-Pop" Jenna always said she wanted, a Berry Blast ring that wouldn't fit over her knuckle. A more sustainable ring followed shortly after.
Jenna said 'yes' before Kevin even had the chance to ask, and the rest is history.
