We met at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD, when Erik was a Senior and Jenna was a Junior. We both had signed up for a 5-day fall break camping trip to Yellowstone through the outdoor program at our school. We sat next to each other in the 15-passenger van for the 15+ hour ride there and back, and we became quick friends over the course of the trip. After the trip, we began meeting up for study dates in the library and pretty quickly became more than friends. Erik would walk Jenna back to her dorm after each study date and the rest was history :) After graduation, we both moved back to the Twin Cities to continue with schooling and begin life in the workforce. Jenna is an occupational therapist and Erik is an engineer for AT&T.

Update: As many of you know, we did elope in May 2024 and have been happily enjoying marriage in our new home we bought June 2024. We eloped to include our late Grandma’s in part of our story and are so thankful they were able to be part of that day. We will still be doing a full marriage ceremony in April 2025 with all of our extended family and friends. Thank you for supporting us and being part of our unique story :)
