Rewind back a few years ago, to the day Josh and Jenna first met. It was a dark, snowy, cold December night in southern MN. If you asked either of them where they thought they’d meet their future spouse, Le Sueur-Henderson High School Gymnasium would be at the bottom, if on the list at all. Jenna was working as an Athletic Trainer for the school, while Josh was there recruiting future college basketball players for UW-Stout. After a long game, Jenna was wrapping up with her work as usual, and Josh waiting as long as he could. When there was nobody else in the school and Jenna was nowhere to be found, Josh figured it was time to leave. Not knowing how he would ever find out who she was, the school program happened to include her name.

Josh took to social media to try to find out who the cute AT was from the game. Once he found out, a of contemplation ensued. Unsure how it would be taken, he decided to message Jenna and ask her on a date. In typical Jenna fashion, when she received the message she immediately thought it was a scam. Once she decided to message back, the rest was history.

From a 6 hour first date, to numerous late night FaceTimes, to moving in together, it all felt so magical. Josh knew that Jenna was the one when she asked him if she could move in….with his parents. Not long after, they both accepted jobs in Eau Claire, where they lived together to save on rent…among other things.

Fast forward 6+ years later, they went on their annual winter vacation, only this one had a little extra flare. During a hike down in Scottsdale, Josh couldn’t pass up on the view and asking his future wife to marry him. Somehow he managed to surprise her even after 6 years together.
