Colin and Jenna had gone to high school together (and played soccer together when they were 6 years old) and developed a relationship during the COVID-19 pandemic. Colin and Jenna, while in quarantine, texted all day and talked for about a month before hanging out for the very first time.

On May 2, 2020, Colin and Jenna began dating after their first time hanging out! In August of 2020, Jenna returned to IU and Colin and Jenna remained in a long-distance relationship for 2 more years while finishing up school. Jenna and Colin would trade off weekends driving back and forth between Fort Wayne and Bloomington. After Colin graduated in August of 2022, Jenna and Colin were no longer long distance.

In May of 2024, Colin proposed to Jenna while in Disney World. Colin took Jenna on a walk in Animal Kingdom in the Maharajah Jungle Trek.
