Please read: If you think you'll stay in Chicago our wedding weekend, book your accommodations now.
Unfortunately, when we decided on our wedding date, we did not realize that the following week, Chicago would be hosting the National Democratic Convention at the United Center (just a couple miles directly south of our venue). Because of this, MANY hotels are already sold out and/or nearing capacity. Hotels are also capitalizing on this convention by sky-rocketing their prices. We are so disappointed and sorry, because our logic in keeping our event to Chicago was to keep it affordable for our guests, since most are local.
Even if you still haven't decided if you can make it to our wedding, we strongly recommend booking your accommodation directly with a hotel/airbnb asap. We've reached out to many hotels in the area and they cannot accommodate a room block given the high demand for the weekend.
As of now, we do know the following hotels near the venue do have some availability still:
The Robey
The Robey is the closest hotel, being a 20 minute walk or 7 minute car ride to our venue. It's a boutique-style hotel in the heart of the Wicker Park neighborhood- surrounded by tons of shops, bars and restaurants!
The Emily Hotel
While this will require a 10-15 minute Uber, Hotel Emily (formerly The Ace Hotel) has plenty of availability and more reasonable rates. Plus, it's in a great West Loop location with plenty to do!! Strongly encourage this one as a hotel option!
Hyatt Place Chicago / Wicker Park
This is the second closest hotel to our venue. The Joinery is a 9 minute drive or 30 minute walk from this hotel. One thing to note: this is a busier intersection, with a less-neighborhood feel but just a 15 minute walk to many shops, bars and restaurants!
We strongly encourage booking an Airbnb in the Wicker Park, Logan Square or Bucktown neighborhoods for a cost-effective option!
Lastly, We also realize many in the suburbs may choose to Uber for the evening given the cost associated with city hotels. We completely understand that, and just ask you to have a safe and sober ride home. We also hope this doesn't impede your willingness to join in the fun on Thursday evening and Saturday post-event as we hope to spend as much time with our favorite people all weekend :)
