Our Story

Picture of Our Story

We started "dating" on March 22, 2015, when we were both 14 years old. Dating is in quotations because it's more of a close friendship than anything when you're that young. Both of us knew Jesus and had the desire to keep him at the center of our relationship, but that desire was not a reality for us. After a couple of years of dating, we both realized that without Christ as the foundation, this relationship, like everything else, would fall apart. Much like what Jesus says in Matthew 7:24-25, "Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock." The moment where this foundation was laid was just after Jenna had preached her first sermon; the first thing I said to her afterward was, "I don't know how, but I'm going to marry you one day." Since that moment, rain has fallen, floods have come, and the winds have come, but Jesus has remained the firm foundation. As we have grown closer to Christ throughout the years, we have grown closer as both a couple and as best friends. The Lord has been so faithful to us, and we are so happy to invite you to join us on our wedding day. A day where we make a covenant before God and each other, love one another as Jesus does, and live a life fully surrendered to His will. "What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate." (Mark 10:9 ESV)

I adore you, Jenna, and as Martin Luther said, "The Christian is supposed to love his neighbor, and since his wife is his nearest neighbor, she should be his deepest love." You are my deepest love and my favorite gift from God. Let's make war with hell and bring heaven down to Earth!
