Our story began in 2017. Jenna was entering her freshman year of high school, while Jan was entering his junior year of high school. This was Jan’s first year in the United States, as he wanted to pursue his dream of playing tennis in America. Jenna remembers seeing Jan the first few weeks at Cheshire Academy, a private boarding school that would unknowingly become the backdrop of a lifelong love story. Many don't believe in love at first sight, but the moment Jenna saw Jan, she experienced a feeling one could only describe as this. Still, their lives remained on separate tracks that year, with only the occasional friendly hello as they passed on campus.

Fast forward to Jenna’s sophomore year and Jan’s senior year. Jenna was playing field hockey, while Jan was playing soccer. The first home game for both of them, they both tore their ACLs. What was one of the hardest things they both had to go through, it turned out to be the best thing that has ever happened to them.

This was the start of their love story.

Bonding over their injuries and recovery, their conversations quickly turned into something more. What started casually grew into something undeniable. From that point on, they were inseparable — first loves, prom dates, study partners, Cheshire Coffee regulars, and ultimately, college classmates (Go Stags!).

To know Jenna was to know Jan. They grew up together — 16-year-old Jenna and 18-year-old Jan.

Today, they are 24 and 26. Living together, starting our careers, having two cats, and in the real world. Nothing life throws at us can’t be conquered as long as Jenna and Jan have each other. Although our story happened a long 9 years ago, our book is just getting started. We have the real world to conquer now.

We can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together, soulmates who were lucky enough to meet in high school.

And the rest was history…..
