What time should I arrive?

Parking in St. Augustine is difficult on a normal day, and this is a holiday weekend. Please plan accordingly, and arrive to the church well in advance of the ceremony time to avoid interrupting the Mass. Because the Cathedral is in a tourist-heavy location, security will be posted outside church doors restricting entry once the ceremony has begun.

What is parking like?

If you are staying at the Casa Monica Resort & Spa, Hilton Historic Bayfront, or Casablanca Inn, the Cathedral will be within easy walking distance. Please be aware that the Cathedral does not have a dedicated parking lot. There are a number of private lots on the streets surrounding Cathedral Basilica, but these will fill up quickly beginning in the morning. The Historic Downtown Parking Facility, the nearest garage, is half a mile from the Cathedral, which makes for a scenic 15-minute walk down historic St. George Street, mobility and weather providing.

Are children invited?

We are very sorry, but due to restrictions for the reception space, we cannot accomodate children.

May I bring a guest?

If your RSVP reads "and guest." Because of limited reception venue space, we can't accommodate plus-ones beyond those named on the RSVP page, unfortunately.

What is the dress code?

Because of the Cathedral and ballroom setting, we kindly request black-tie or formal attire. We suggest floor-length dresses, pantsuits and jumpsuits, and suits or tuxedos. Please refrain from wearing white, ivory, or champagne, as it is reserved for the Bride.

Will the wedding be indoors? What kind of weather should we expect?

Both the wedding Mass in Cathedral Basilica and the reception at Casa Monica will be indoor and temperature controlled. Weather wise, we're in luck, as this is the most beautiful part of the year in St. Augustine, and well clear of Hurricane Season. Temperatures for February are typically mild and dry, with an average high of 70°F and low of 50°F. With that said, North Florida does experience annual freezes. If you're joining us from out-of-state, pack wisely by bringing "layers." We know you're excited to break out your flip-flops, bikinis, and Speedos, but please bring a sensible coat, just to be safe!
