Jeff and I met on January 2, 2022 after I moved to Rutherfordton, NC on a travel healthcare assignment. He was friends with the girls who lived in the house where I was staying, so we ended up becoming friends. Fast forward to February, we spent a weekend together just us two and since then we have been inseparable. We share the same birthday coincidentally and Jeff says it is fate because he is terrible with remembering dates. We started officially dating on Tuesday 2/22/22. From the get-go, Jeff made me laugh so hard that my stomach hurt, which I rarely do with people other than my family. Our similarities in life drew us to each other, but our differences and uniqueness complimented each other so well that we fell head over heels in love. Typically, we find ourselves on Saturday's at the farmer's market in Shelby, NC getting coffee and chai tea lattes and browsing the local selections. We started this tradition early in our relationship and it is our go-to way to start the weekend. We love spending time outdoors whether walking, biking, gardening, or golfing anytime we get a chance. We love our road trips to MS to see my family and to show Jeff the world I grew up in. However, my favorite road trip is our most recent trip to Seabrook Island, SC where Jeff recruited our friends to help him in capturing our proposal. His proposal plan got thwarted by the rain in Charleston when we went into town for the day, but he adapted the plan and proposed to me on May 28th after we waded through waist deep water and jellyfish to get to our destination. Jeff proposed on the boardwalk as his friend took pictures with Jeff's camera and captured our unique and beautiful moment. Our story is full of laughs and love and perseverance, which we plan to continue as we begin our journey as husband and wife.
