We seriously owe it all to the creators of the Hinge dating app....and maybe a little luck. Although Clarksville, Tennessee is a bustling town for of eligible, intelligent, and wonderful singles (please read that with a lot of sarcasm). Both Campbell and Jenna needed a little help from the Hinge algorithm to actually meet. Instead of swiping right, the Hinge app did all the work for us. The first message Campbell ever sent was "Hey your dog is cute, what's her name?" Sweet Sadie always a good wing girl. We chatted for a bit and without warning, or maybe he did warn, who knows, he went on a two week hiatus to travel. Luckily upon his return we decided to meet. Jenna cancelled the first date, citing a job interview. Campbell was grateful. See, both of us HATED dating and hadn't had any luck meeting normal humans. The plan was to meet for drinks at a local (the only) classy establishment in town. Jenna was at least 10 minutes late, very out of the norm for her, but if you know her she absolutely hates asking for a table and awkwardly walking towards that table. Campbell was already seated. Instantly, Jenna put her purse on the floor to only immediately need to get up and get the purse to show her ID....what an idiot, which she announced. Apparently, this is the moment Campbell knew that Jenna was the one for him. The date lasted about four hours and at least three Moscow Mules later. It ended with some guy proposing and Campbell letting Jenna use his credit card to get one more round. It wasn't until the second date that Jenna truly fell in love with Campbell after he shouted at the people eating next to us about their flaming sushi.
Clearly, it was love at nearly first sight. The rest is history. Somewhere along the way Campbell agreed to cheer for the Cubs, Natural Marie tolerated Sadie Mae, and Jenna finally got to go to Michigan.
