Hinge: The app that's meant to be deleted

How were we ever supposed to meet someone during Covid?

Well, on an October Tuesday in 2020 at 6pm, a Hinge date was set up. Jenna showed up "fashionably late" to a restaurant in Lakeview where no one else was seated except for Tom (it was the second wave of Covid and restaurants weren't seating many people inside). After being somewhat "salty" (as her mom likes to call it) about previous Hinge dates, Jenna made a rule to herself that this one was going to be quick and for ONE DRINK only.

Tom waited patiently for Jenna to show up. He found it odd that Jenna could only stay for one drink, but she stuck to her rule. However, they were able to learn about each other and both walked away positively. After the date, Tom's mom called about setting him up with someone she knows. Tom told her he just met a really cool girl and to hold off. Jenna called her mom saying she actually just met a seemingly great guy!

At the next lunch date, Tom asked Jenna if she wanted to play in a flag football tournament because they needed girls. Not only was Tom impressed by Jenna's spiral (thanks to her Dad!), but that day turned out to be an incredible beginning. They started to hang out more frequently watching Bears games, meeting each others friends, and having a weekend in Scottsdale. The rest is history!
