Nick and Jenna met on Halloween night in 2019 at Fifth Avenue bar in Royal Oak. Though they grew up just a few miles apart and attended Michigan State University at the same time, it wasn't until a few years after college that the two connected. Introduced by each of their roommates at the time, Nick and Jenna crossed paths periodically, but didn’t begin dating until the following summer.

One night, while hanging out with friends after a night out, a large, collarless stray Pit Bull wandered up to the door of the Hrynik household at around 3 a.m. Following some uncertainty from the group on what to do, Nick and Jenna knew they couldn't leave the clearly neglected dog roaming the streets. Without much of a plan, they decided to take the dog together. On the long walk back to Nick's apartment, Jenna took the liberty of naming the (female) dog Henry. The pair cared for Henry together for nearly a week before tearfully returning the dog to her discovered owner. From that night of July 26th, Nick and Jenna both knew they had found something special in the other. Now 5 years later (to the day), they will wed in front of all their loved ones on July 26th.

Nick and Jenna have shared a journey filled with love, laughter, joy, challenges and unimaginable blessings. Together, they share a deep love for their family and friends, all things MSU, tailgates, their beloved Royal Oak home and neighborhood, country music concerts, traveling, pickleball, and doting on their adored Mini Goldendoodle Jojo. Nick popped the question in an intimate beach proposal at Traverse City’s Mission Point on May 31st, 2024.

Nick and Jenna are overjoyed to celebrate this journey with each of you as they welcome their next chapter as husband and wife.
