In December 2013, Matt and Jenna first met over a now-defunct group video-calling app called Oovoo to study for a biology test as freshmen in high school. After they finished reviewing notes, their friendship was sparked by talking about their respective loves of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Today, although they continue to love these teams, neither one of them went into Biology.


They began dating nearly one year later in November 2014, and continued to make high school memories together in the school’s theater program, playing mini golf, FaceTiming nearly every day, and showing each other their favorite movies. Driver’s licenses turned into Wawa dates, which turned into Prom dates. Before long, they went their separate ways to their own universities, deciding to commit to a long-distance style relationship.


After years of traveling to-and-from Penn State and Saint Joe’s to visit one another, the two graduated and finally moved into their first apartment together in May 2022 with their cat, Oregano. Now, their shared life in Phoenixville, PA is full of attending concerts, traveling with family, and hosting elaborate events for their friends to attend, including their annual Halloween party.


So, when Matt proposed to Jenna in April of 2024, the two decided on the perfect date for their wedding, one that had brought them so much fun and merriment with friends in previous years:
