Our story began in Chicago on St. Patrick's Day 2016 when Grant reached out to Jenna's roommate, Becca, who he knew from high school and college, and met up with their group after a (long) day of celebrating.
Our paths crossed again in the fall of 2016 when Jenna and Becca needed another teammate for trivia and asked Grant to join. Our team came in third, won a free round of trivia and never played again.
We even took a flight together to Atlanta for the UF vs. Alabama SEC Championship. The first time Jenna saw Grant chug a beer was when he couldn't bring it on to the plane.
Fast forward to Summer 2017, Grant texted Jenna and Becca to see if they wanted to come out for happy hour. Jenna was reluctant thanks to her work summer party the day before, but agreed. After that night we were inseparable -- all credit goes to The Vig and the chocolate chip cookies served at midnight.
A year later, we went our separate ways when Grant moved to Dallas for law school; only to be reunited at a friend's wedding where we realized how much we missed each other and *officially* started dating in December 2018.
In 2020, after almost two years of long distance (and one pandemic), Jenna moved to Dallas to be with Grant.
Dallas was a very special chapter in our lives. We not only moved in together, made new friends and went to new places, but we also adopted our dog, Bruce.
On May 12, 2023, our chapter in Dallas came to an end. On the morning we packed our car to move to Tampa, Grant proposed to Jenna.
Dallas was instrumental in the growth of our relationship, but Chicago is where it all began. From the coldest New Year's Eve of all time, midweek Cubs games and Bub City on Friday nights to our Sunday routine of going to Chipotle and Jeni's Ice Cream, we have so many amazing memories thanks to our time in Chicago.
We are beyond excited to be getting married in Chicago and to celebrate with you all in a city that means so much to us!
