Jenna and Jeremy might not have met if it weren’t for the dating app Hinge. They connected one night, and he asked for her number. After bonding over family, work, and faith they decided to meet for a date. There is some slight controversy as to who asked who out, but upon further review, Jeremy was the one who indeed asked Jenna out on the first date.
Saturday April 30, 2022, they went on their first date. Jenna suggested they meet for lunch and margaritas at the Katy Trail Ice House in downtown Dallas. Jeremy pulled into her parking lot at her apartment and waited anxiously to get out of the Car. Once she came walking down the hill he knew he was in for it. She was stunning. There they were, (under the Miller Lite Cowboys waterfall sign in downtown Dallas), his first words to her were “Damn you are hot.” From there, they walked to the Icehouse where they spent three hours getting to know each other, then both leaving feeling excited about the potential they both saw in the other.
After a couple of weeks of going on regular dates, Jeremy was invited to meet Jenna’s best friend and roommate, Baylie. However, in the normal Robinson fashion, not just Baylie showed up at Ebar for lunch, but also Jenna’s mom, Kathy, her brother, Cal, and his fiancé (now wife), Emma. By the end of this date, Kathy had invited Jeremy to her birthday in a couple weeks and Jenna left feeling reassured that some of her favorite people in the world had all given their approval of Jeremy.
On June 4th, Jenna brought Jeremy to brunch and a pool day to meet a large group of her friends (little did Jeremy know that it was yet another test to see if he would fit in with her life and friend group.) Jeremy blended in so well and by the end of the day, he acted as if he had been friends with them for years. Jeremy could not wait any longer, and by that evening, he made it exclusive by asking Jenna to be his girlfriend.
The next day Jeremy met Mike (Jenna’s Father) who immediately made him feel welcomed. He made the best steak fajitas, and the rest of the summer was full of spending time with friends and family all weekend. Eating good food, seeing concerts, and running around going to any restaurant Jenna saw on Dallas Sites’ Instagram.
In September, Jeremy brought Jenna to Disneyworld to meet his family. She was nervous on the flight to not only be meeting his parents, but also all the siblings, significant others, and nieces. Within the first day, everyone was comfortable, and it seemed as if they had known each other for a long time. Disney World was special because Jenna got to see how Jeremy interacted and loved his family and Jeremy got to see how Jenna blended into his life.
November came, and Jenna went home with Jeremy to Washington. They spent Thanksgiving with his family and Jeremy told his sisters and mother that he was sure, without a doubt, that Jenna was the one. After trips with both families, seeing how Jeremy took care of Jenna while she was working fulltime while in graduate school fulltime, and doing life together for about 8 months, Jenna knew too without a doubt that she had found the one she had been hoping and praying for.
On March 24, 2023, Jeremy proposed to Jenna at Lake Arlington. With the help of an amazing team of friends and family, they were able to completely surprise her with the proposal. After Jenna said “yes,” she was surprised with an engagement party where friends and family gathered to share in the moment.
Since then, we have been planning this special day and look forward to spending it with all of our amazing friends and family.
