Recently deemed 'One of the Best 100 Public Courses in America', Troy Burne is carefully sculpted out of 420 acres of rolling St. Croix Valley hills and features over 120 bunkers protecting generous bent grass fairways and stadium greens. Burne, the Scottish term for creek, is fitting as water comes into play on eight holes. Amber prairie grasses cover the hillsides along many holes, providing vivid contrast to the emerald fairways and roughs.

Downtown Stillwater offers a great variety of boutique shopping along the beautiful St. Croix River. With 50 unique independent owner-operated stores, you'll find a great mix of fashion forward clothing boutiques, art galleries, culinary specialty shops, gift stores, home decor, antique shops and vintage furniture shops sprinkled with delightful cafes, restaurants, and breweries.

We love a good Midwest brewery tour! You can find one of our favorite beers at Lift Bridge Brewery in Stillwater, the Mango Blonde. From there head to River Siren Brewing Co. in Downtown Stillwater to find trivia or live music. Head back towards Hudson, WI to find Hop and Barrel Brewing and Hudson Tap along the main street of downtown Hudson. Further East you'll find Pitchfork Brewing where we'd recommend the French Toast Ale or the Cast Iron Oatmeal Stout.

Agave Kitchen offers a wide variety of food and drink and a great atmosphere in downtown Hudson. Nick recommends the nachos.

Willow River State Park is a great place for a day out in nature. This park features spectacular views of Willow Falls and the Willow River Gorge. Prairie remnants, miles of scenic hiking trails, lakeside picnic areas and a nature center are all found within 2,800 acres of rolling countryside.
