It all began with a "shhh!"

Once upon a time, in the Troup High School auditorium, a rambunctious group of teenagers were being wrangled by Jeff Sargent who was directing Cinderella.&nbsp;Jeff’s future son-in-law, Garrett, was cutting up in the background while Jeff gave notes.&nbsp;Jeff’s daughter, Jenna, committed to her craft and defensive of her family, laid down a “shhh,” paired with a look that only the offspring of two teachers could summon. Despite this, Jenna and Garrett became fast friends, bonding over their shared love of music, theater, and all around silliness.&nbsp;They often found themselves cast in plays together, and although there certainly was a chance for romance, Cupid’s arrow never hit its mark.&nbsp;Their first kiss was on stage and after the first take was described by the director as “two concrete walls slamming into each other.” Their bond grew during their time at UGA where, in a wild and brand new world, they relied on each other through good times and bad.&nbsp;They were each other’s cheerleader, sounding board, and shelter. After college, the two went their separate ways, but of course keep in touch.&nbsp;Upon finding themselves once again occupying the same state,&nbsp;they decided to meet up to enjoy two of their favorite things, beer and music, at Sweetland Amphitheater.&nbsp;The afternoon was a blast full of belly laughs and exchanging stories and both felt a spark different from any they had felt before.&nbsp;Unfortunately, the night ended and they both returned home. Garrett, not wanting to miss his opportunity, soon expressed to Jenna how he truly felt, and she felt the same! Don’t worry, they did figure out the whole kissing thing, and Jenna tries not to shush Garrett too much.&nbsp;Jenna and Garrett are excited that being in Cinderella led to their own “Happily Ever After.”

Wedding guests may take advantage of a 10% discount for any cabin with a two night minimum. Although you can utilize the website to view availability and determine which cabin you would like, please call the office to make your reservation and mention the Dye Wedding in order to receive your discount.

The Lodge and Spa is located in Callaway Gardens, which has multiple entrances within a few miles of the venue. We do not have a wedding block or discount, but this is certainly an option if the cabins are not to your liking.
