Picture of Our Story

Where to begin! As seen under the photo tab, Connor and Jenna first met on March 8th of 2019. They met at Key Club's District Convention (DCON). Connor was running for district governor, yep that's right, Jenna fell in love with a governor.

After DCON, Jenna and Connor reconnected at a Key Club meeting at Jenna's high school. After the meeting, Connor asked for Jenna's number so that he could later interview her to be featured as the "member of the week" in Connor's weekly newsletters. Let's just say, she never got that spotlight, but don't worry, she's not mad about it.

For the next few months, they texted, played GamePigeon games (specifically 8-ball), and even hung out on a couple of occasions. Eventually September came around and Jenna started thinking about her Junior year homecoming. This would be the year where she would go with a boy (she ended up with a man). Somehow, out of her nature, Jenna asked Connor to homecoming. It definitely took some convincing, if you know Connor, going to a dance is the last thing he would want to do. They went to the dance, stayed for about an hour, then went bowling. On the way back from bowling, Jenna's worst nightmare happened...she got pulled over. Little did she know that her parents had missed the registration on the car, so she was driving with expired tags. Luckily, after some choice words, Connor still kept talking to her. Definitely a not first date, first date to remember.

About a month later, Connor finally asked Jenna out. They had gone to each others marching band performances, homecoming, hung out, and yet didn't start dating until months later. On November 30th 2019, Jenna drove the 45 minutes to Connor's house nervous as ever. They were just planning to hang out and chill, so not really sure why she was so nervous. When she arrived she met Connor's mom, and his dog, Brody. She was scared of Brody at first, but now is in love with him, he is her favorite dog in the world. After hanging out all day, they went on a small hike and found a bench and watched the sunset. The "bench spot" would later become their favorite spot to be, with many events happening.

Believe it or not, Jenna and Connor survived the pandemic together. Definitely a way to strengthen a relationship within the first few months of it starting. After proms, homecoming's, graduations, and countless dates, Jenna was finally done driving the 45 minutes to see her man, and now only lived 5 minutes away. Connor is a year above Jenna, so finally little freshman Jenna could see her old Sophomore whenever she wanted.

You would think that 5 minutes is good enough compared to the 45, but Jenna apparently didn't think so. The next year (Jenna's Sophomore and Connor's Junior), Jenna and her roommates moved into the apartment right across from Connor's. When I say right across, I mean right across the hallway, like 5 steps from each other. They would both release the apartment and continue to be 5 steps apart. So, they went from 45 minutes apart, to 45 minutes and 5 feet apart, to 5 minutes, then to 5 seconds. But guess what, eventually it will be 0. Hopefully that will be good enough for Jenna.

Skipping ahead a bit, past the video games, homework sessions, random invention/crafts, lots of ice cream, and any random thing you can think of, Connor proposed. Remember that "bench spot" I was talking about earlier, yep, that's where he took her. Connor was quite sneaky when it came to proposing, and it was the first secret he actually kept from her. She definitely had her suspicions, and thought it was going to happen in many different situations. Connor did ask Jenna to get her nails done sooner than she was planning, which kind of gave it away. Only took him 1,380 days to propose, but hey, they made it!

Jenna and Connor couldn't be happier, and their story continues.
