Jenna and David Lee met when they matched through an online dating app in April of 2022. They started communicating through the app on a Monday morning, had exchanged phone numbers before the Monday workday was over, and had their first date that Saturday. David had planned an eventful evening in Memphis, TN. First off, they went to walk around Bass Pro Shops in the pyramid to break the ice. Then it was off to Dave & Busters to play some games. They had a blast playing all the games as both are quite competitive. Jenna schooled him shooting hoops on the basketball game, although we arent sure if David was more impressed or embarrassed at that point... (But dont worry, he got even on the second date - but we arent to that part of the story yet!) After Dave & Busters, they went to dinner at the historical BBQ joint Rendezvous in downtown Memphis where they shared ribs for two. You know he was special if Jenna ate messy ribs on a first date. After dinner, they werent quite ready for the night to end so they took a walk across the pedestrian bridge over the Mississippi River, while continuing to talk and learn about each other. About halfway through their walk across the river Jenna accidently bumped her hand into Davids. He laughed and said, if you wanted to hold my hand all you had to do was ask. Safe to say, hands were held for the remainder of the walk. During the date they discovered their mutual love for 90s country, Disney movies, Harry Potter, sports, and also their mutual hatred for Lebron James and Tom Brady. David drove her home and as they sat in the driveway, in true southern gentleman fashion, David turned to give Jenna a hug, but Jenna wasnt completely sure of his intentions and she somehow kissed his shoulder. The two laughed embarrassingly as they both admitted to completely screwing up the moment. But it definitely broke the ice before their first kiss. David even walked her to the door for one more smooch before he left.


The next day, it was around 2:30 in the afternoon when Jennas mom asked if shed heard from David yet. She had not and Jennas mom insisted that she text that boy and tell him how much fun you had last night. So, Jenna text David and they talked for the next few hours, both explaining that they had a wonderful time and even hinting at the possibility of a second date. Two weeks later, the second date came to fruition. Back to Dave & Busters for a rematch in basketball and a lovely dinner.


A little over a month after their first meeting, daily texting, and a few dates, the twosome decided there were some serious feelings going on and decided to take things to the next level... They officially became an exclusive couple and started pondering the idea of meeting each others kids and ultimately the kiddos met each other in June.


And seriously, the rest is history!


That summer, David met Jennas daughter and son (Nori and Ryker), and Jenna met Davids girls (Madi and Scarlet). Then all 4 kiddos met each other. It could not have been more seamless and before they knew it, they were all spending every weekend together. At this point Jenna and David lived an hour and half away from each other. By Christmas 2022, Jenna and her kids relocated to be closer to David and his girls. The good times continued into 2023: weekends at the ballfield, birthdays, school functions, vacations, Jenna started a new job and her kids started new schools... They were all growing together as a family of 6 and thriving.


David asked Jenna to marry him in October of 2023, on Friday the 13th actually, with a clever Friends themed party (Jennas favorite tv show). The kids were involved, along with a lot of their friends. Jenna was completely surprised and caught off guard. It was a beautiful night and a wonderful next step in their relationship. They are so excited to officially become a family of 6 and share this special day with all of you!
