Teagan and Jenna matched on the dating app called Hinge in mid-September of 2024. They clicked immediately, quickly bonding over shared interests, career goals, and personal values. They went on their first date at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in Green Bay after talking for just over a week. From the very start of that date, the sparks flew! The second date was a few days later at Teagan's house, where they watched The Great Gatsby. From there, they talked the whole night away. No, seriously, it was until 3 am.

After that, they decided to try to see each other every few days, but that regularly changed when Teagan would text the next day, asking, “Are you free tonight?”. After that, Jenna never stopped coming over, so often in fact that Jenna’s mom regularly checked in on her to make sure Jenna was ok and that Teagan wasn’t a serial killer. To put her parents at ease, Teagan took them all out to dinner at the Prime Quarter before they started officially dating.

Soon after dating, the topic of moving in came up. The agreement was to move Jenna in either January or the following May, depending on what Teagan chose to do for the NFL draft. To their surprise, after deciding not to rent the house out, on a November Saturday after deer season, Jenna received a call from her mom asking, “I have a couch I need to move into your room here, can I send the movers over with your things?”. Teagan turned and said, “Well, I guess you’re moving in now!”.

The topic of marriage quickly came to the forefront of conversation. In early December, they decided to go ring shopping, just to “see what options there were”. After having found a ring that Jenna loved, they left the store empty-handed. Little did Jenna know, Teagan went back to that store 2 weeks later and bought that ring on December 31, 2024. He picked it up on the Wednesday before Valentine's Day, 2/11/25. Then, in a moment of pure genius, he hid the ring in a spot Jenna would never look and could never reach: The inside of a LEGO pirate ship in their home office.

In March, Teagan suggested they take their first solo vacation as a couple, a weekend getaway in Door County in early May. Teagan proposed to Jenna at Simon Creek Vineyard on the LAST day of the trip, on May 4th! Teagan then surprised Jenna with lunch, where all their family and some friends came to celebrate at Mackinaw's Grill and Spirits.
