Nick and Jenni met on the dating app Hinge in December 2019. Their first few dates included Dave & Busters, showing off his martial arts skills; Christmas in the Park, enjoying Jenni’s favorite holiday and seeing Christmas trees and lights; and the Conservatory of Flowers, as Jenni is such a fan of flowers and night light events. Nick and Jenni seem to hit things off, but they enjoy spending time together to get to know each other.

Shortly after they met, Shelter in Place and COVID came, and they spent the majority of their first six months “dating,” being 6 feet apart and through many hours, days, and nights video chatting. This allowed Nick and Jenni to learn to communicate and be with each other, even when they couldn’t be physically together. As time passed, they expanded their COVID bubble to include their families.

As years went on, they competed in Spartan Races. Jenni completed her first trifecta but also thought of breaking up with Nick on that last Beast race – haha, just kidding, but it was super hard for her, but she survived and completed it, just as Nick knew she would. He was so proud of her! They also enjoyed their love for movie dates on Tuesdays at ShowPlace ICON and watching TV shows they were both interested in. They started meeting each other’s family and friend circle groups in 2021 and 2022, getting more comfortable and eventually living together.

Over the years, they traveled and had many adventures. They both changed jobs, advanced in their careers with promotions, and found a workplace environment and culture they both enjoyed. They bought their new home together in early 2023 and started creating a place to grow and start a family.

About a year later, Nick finally decided to pop the question and ask Jenni to marry him at the Conservatory of Flowers, where they went on their first romantic date just a little over four years before that.

She was so happy going from girlfriend to fiancé. And now they’re preparing for their wedding and the rest of their lives together!
