Our Wedding

Like so many modern romances, Jennie and Kasey met on Bumble. Kasey was so enamored by Jennie’s simple “hey” message that he naturally responded with a Forrest Gump quote and asked her to go to trivia the following week at a local brewery. Jennie showed up to the brewery and noticed Kasey was quite cute in person, much cuter than half of his Bumble pictures where he donned glasses and a large head of curly hair. Kasey was already sipping on a beer, so Jennie went up to the bar and ordered her own, thinking this date wasn’t going so well since Kasey hadn’t offered to pay. Kasey came up to the bar and offered to pay for her drink, but quickly learned that Jennie was a stubborn one and would not let that happen.&nbsp; Despite this start to their date, Jennie and Kasey soon realized that they were compatible and maybe should cut each other a little slack. After trivia, Jennie and Kasey decided to keep the night going with karaoke, where Kasey sang on stage and Jennie caught a glimpse of his easygoing and loving personality. After a few more dates, Jennie and Kasey realized a true partner in the other, appreciating each other’s wit, fun spirit, and easy laugh as well as each other’s compassion and zest for life. Without speaking about it, Jennie and Kasey started to think that maybe, just maybe, the other could be the person they have been waiting for their whole life. Just prior to the world shutting down in March of 2020, Jennie and Kasey decided to become a couple. The pandemic forced them to choose their “bubble”, and it only made sense for them to choose each other. This next year proved to be challenging for the whole world, and Kasey comforted Jennie through being unable to see her family on the east coast for longer than expected. Jennie learned how compassionate and patient Kasey is, especially when dealing with her crazy dog, Cooper, while Kasey learned how Jennie lives with her heart on her sleeve and a passion for all things in life, especially when it comes to winning games. This time quickly bonded them and they realized that they never wanted to live without each other. On May 6, 2023, Kasey decided it was about time to stop pretending to propose and actually do it! They went on a hike with friends to beautiful Lena Lake, where he asked the question that led to this day. Over the past 5 years, Jennie and Kasey have continued to grow in their relationship and their love for one another. They bought a house, adopted another dog, Harper, and continue to love hiking, game nights with friends, dancing in the kitchen, snuggling with their dogs, traveling, singing at the top of their lungs, arguing over whose turn it is to Swiffer, and so much more. They cannot wait to celebrate with their loved ones as they embark on this adventure of marriage and hope that everyone loves getting to see the beautiful PNW!

Flights

The closest and easiest airport to fly into is Seattle–Tacoma International Airport&nbsp;(SEA). The airport is approximately 45 minutes by car from our venue. If you are traveling from out-of-state and plan to explore Washington state while you are here, renting a car is going to be your best option for getting around. See below under Transportation for other options to and from the airport.

Lodging

Hotel Blocks We have 2 hotel blocks for our wedding. One is at the Best Western Inn in Silverdale, Washington and the other is at the Oxford Suites in Silverdale, Washington. These hotels are less than a half a mile from each other and about a mile from our house :)

Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at (360) 698-9550 and mentioning Lambert &amp; Peterson Wedding in order to obtain the negotiated group rate (price is $229 without a water view, however you can upgrade to a water view for $20-30 more when you call) or email jamiem@oxfordsuites.com. Guests can extend their stay at this rate by calling the hotel and making this request.

Prices range from $231-255 depending on the type of room and view. Guests can extend their stay at the same rate by calling the hotel and making this request.The Best Western will be changing to a Double Tree in May.

Airbnbs and VRBOs are also options for groups who wish to stay together. You can look for these in Bremerton, Port Orchard, Silverdale, or Gig Harbor. Please reach out to Kasey or Jennie if you have any questions about the location you are looking into!

Transportation

The Kitsap Airporter will take you directly to and from the airport to the Best Western Inn (Silverdale Beach Hotel on their website). This trip takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours due to stops. It is $39 one way for one person. Tickets can be purchased on the website up to 30 days ahead of time.

Bremerton Kitsap Airporter Inc

There are ferries that go between Seattle and other areas of Kitsap County (the county where the wedding venue is located). The Southworth ferry is approximately 20 minutes from our venue. This ferry takes about 40-45 minutes and goes to Fauntleroy, which is on the other side of the water, approximately 20-25 minutes south of downtown Seattle. Fauntleroy is about 20 minutes from the airport. This is all dependent on traffic. The Bremerton ferry is approximately 20 minutes from our venue as well. The main ferry, which can hold cars, takes about one hour to get into Downtown Seattle. There is also a fast ferry that takes approximately 30 minutes to get into Seattle, however this ferry does not hold cars. If you are staying for a few days in the area, there are a lot of places you can go for a day trip! You can even take a ferry up to Victoria, Canada! Port Townsend is another cute town about an hour from Kitsap County.
