I met Jennifer Grace Allison playing in a doubles beach tournament in March of 2021 at Small Bar. She of course beat me, but I technically won since I got her to follow me back on Instagram. I slide into her DMs soon after to ask her to play with me in a volleyball tournament, but with little response, so I knew something else had to be done to get her attention. After asking around, I found out she played Fortnite, so this time I took to Facebook to ask if she wanted to play Fortnite with me online but unfortunately still no response. I did not want to overwhelm her with my charm, so I waited a couple of months for her birthday to arrive to send her a happy birthday wish over Facebook. Still, I got a “thank you,” and then silence, but I knew she was just playing hard to get.

After a total of 6 months of waiting and careful planning of sliding into her “DMs” on different social media platforms, I finally got her to respond on November 21st of 2021. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and the Carolina Panthers were playing the Washington Redskins at Bank of America Stadium, in Charlotte. Ron Rivera was just fired from the Panthers and was now coaching the Redskins, and this was his first game back in Charlotte, and to everyone’s surprise, the Panthers lost to him at home. Knowing Jennifer was a Panthers fan, I slide into her Instagram DMs and made fun of her team, which FINALLY sparked a conversation where she was consistently texting me back. It even led to our first unofficial date at Winterfest on November 28th. Jenn thought it was just going to be the 2 of us, but I didn’t tell her I was already going and she was tagging along with my father and friend Jonatan. Obviously, it didn’t scare her away since just one week later I was able to convince her to go to the White-Water Center to Ice Skate, even though she was scared to ice skate; and right before we left, I gathered up enough courage and snuck in a kiss for the first time. The rest is history and one thing led to another and now we are here today where I can spend the rest of my life with Jennifer Grace Allison.
