Our Love Story

Jenny and JR have known each other since they were infants. Their story began long before they ever imagined it would turn into love. Their parents— JR's mom and dad, and Jenny’s mom— immigrated from the Philippines to Boston to pursue nursing careers. It was through the tight-knit Filipino community there that their families became close. Jenny’s mom began babysitting JR when he was a baby. From that time on, Jenny and JR shared many childhood memories—apple picking, swimming, camping trips, birthday parties, playing soccer, and more. As they got older, life naturally pulled them into different social circles. They saw each other time to time growing up (Jenny admiring JR's flowy hair and JR noticing her prettiness) but never hung out until attending a concert during the summer of 2014 with mutual friends. That night sparked a reconnection, and soon they were spending time together regularly hitting Boston’s nightlife scene at places like Estate, Royale, and Wonder Bar, forming a new friendship as adults. By September 2014, during a double date with Jenny’s best friend Josie, JR asked Jenny to be his girlfriend. That marked the beginning of something truly special— countless dates, outings, and unforgettable travel adventures. Through life’s highs and lows, their relationship only deepened, rooted in friendship, trust, and unwavering love. They adopted their firstborn Eoin in 2017 and secondborn Otto in 2023 (aka their corgis). In November 2024, they had an intimate civil ceremony at Jenny's favorite place in Boston, the Boston Public Library. In December 2024, they welcomed their baby boy Damian Jeremiah. Jenny and JR’s love story is one of a kind. What started as a childhood bond grew quietly, and faithfully into a deep, enduring love. Today, after more than a decade together, they are not only soulmates but best friends, continuing to build a beautiful life filled with joy, family, and devotion.

The life of the party, Gibson’s goofy jokes can light up any room and put a smile on anyone’s face. From riding bikes with training wheels between each other’s houses as childhood neighbors, to planning to become “murses” (male nurses) together, Gibson and JR have been side by side through every stage of life. They talked about getting married and having babies at the same time—and they actually did it. They even both bought Teslas, proudly earning the nickname “Besties with the Tessies.”

Growing up, Brian and JR played every sport together and made all the gains side by side. From pushing their limits in Tough Mudder challenges, to competing in video games, to making serious strides in the healthcare field, they’ve always motivated each other to level up. Brian is the kind of friend everyone hopes to have—kind, reliable, and endlessly supportive. No matter the challenge, he shows up, gives his all, and lifts the people around him in the process.

Chris and JR have grown up a lot since becoming best friends in high school. Some of their best memories were made in the band room—Chris on the trumpet and JR on the saxophone—where their musical talents and friendship grew right alongside each other. What started as shared notes and rehearsals turned into a lasting connection that has only strengthened over time. Beyond music, they’ve also shared a love of soccer, always finding ways to compete, improve, and have fun together. Chris is friendly, financially responsible, and incredibly intelligent—someone who approaches life with both heart and wisdom.

Here are some recommendations for how to get to and travel around Dublin, Ireland. If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Flights

Dublin International Airport, Irish: Aerfort Bhaile Átha Cliath, (IATA: DUB, ICAO: EIDW) is the international airport serving Dublin, Ireland. Our family favorite airline is Aer Lingus. We recommend using Google Flights online, the Jetradar application or the Hopper application to look out for flight deals.

Travel

You are kindly required to stay at Luttrellstown Castle the night of the wedding on Thursday, May 21st through the morning of Friday, May 22nd. You will be asked to leave the castle property at an earlier time and cannot participate in all our celebrations if you do not stay the night of the wedding.

Luttrellstown Castle will be exclusive to our wedding the evening/ night of May 21st (and morning of May 22nd), which means that our wedding guests will be the only guests in house. This allows us to offer you a private and bespoke experience and will make our wedding day even more special as only our nearest and dearest will be present. Situated in the heart of a 567-acre estate, Luttrellstown Castle Resort is a privately owned estate with beautifully appointed bedrooms, an awe-inspiring library, magnificent ballrooms, manicured lawns, and a state-of-the-art glass marquee. Even after 600 years, it remains an opulent venue for gracious hospitality. Along with its historic castle, the estate also features a modern 18-hole championship golf course, complete with a 35,000sq ft, 3-storey alpine-lodge clubhouse overlooking the incredible Dublin countryside. It is required for guests to stay at the castle venue the night of the wedding. The check-in time to the Castle is at 3 PM on Thursday, May 21st and the check-out time is at 11 AM on Friday, May 22nd. There are 24 bedrooms available (19 castle bedrooms, 5 bedrooms in the Gardeners Cottage, in addition to the wedding suite). Bed and breakfast rates range from €450 to €750 for each room/ family suite. Each room/ family suite holds two, three, four, or six people. Non-wedding guests are welcome to stay at the venue and food can be delivered to the room. Baby cots are available upon request. A payment link was sent out from the castle venue by the beginning of March. We have a room block reserved at Motel One Dublin for the night of Monday, May 18th through the morning of Thursday, May 21st (the morning of the wedding).

Check in is 3pm on Monday, May 18th. Check out is available until 12pm on Thursday, May 21st. There is a reception desk available 24 hours a day and a bar with snacks and drinks. Luggage storage is free of charge. Breakfast is 6 AM- 10 AM with price of 16.50 euros per person per day. Please contact Jenny if you would like to reserve one of the rooms from the room block.

Make sure to also spend a day or more to see the beautiful lush green countryside that Ireland is known for! Jennifer-Anne's family is from Western Ireland near Connemara, famous for its countryside as well as the Kylemore Abbey &amp; Victorian Walled Garden. Also in Western Ireland, is the beautiful, picturesque Aran Islands, charming heritage town of Westport, melodic and vibrant Galway, and the infamous, stunning Cliffs of Moher.

Trinity College Dublin is one of Ireland's top universities and can be found in the heart of Dublin. The impressive university grounds are home to many beautiful gardens and ancient buildings, making this a great place to simply wander and soak up the atmosphere. Trinity College Dublin regularly features on lists of the world's most beautiful universities. Additionally, the library of Trinity College is home to over 5 million volumes, making it one of Ireland's most important cultural treasures

The Book of Kells is a beautiful illuminated manuscript dating back to the 800s AD. It is housed in Trinity College in Dublin city centre and is one of Ireland's most popular tourist attractions. The intricate drawings and ornaments are a testament to the incredible craftsmanship of medieval Irish monks. Despite being in the city centre, it can be quite tranquil and a major draw for tourists.

The National Museum of Ireland - Natural History, also known as the Dead Zoo, is a museum in Dublin that showcases stuffed and mounted animals from the 19th century. Situated on Merrion Square, this branch of the National Museum of Ireland houses extensive exhibits of taxidermy animals, covering various fields such as geology and zoology. It emphasizes the natural wonders found in Ireland and includes an exhibition on Mammals of the World.

The Guinness Storehouse is a famous tourist attraction in Dublin, Ireland that is home to the world's largest collection of Guinnesses. The building was originally built as part of a complex that also included an office block, a hotel and a cinema. It has since been converted into a museum and houses the world's largest collection of Guinnesses, as well as other beers from around the world.

Temple Bar is a bustling neighborhood that sits beside the river, filled with cobblestone pedestrian lanes. The area is renowned for its crowded pubs where live music and DJ sets are played, as well as its diverse dining options including Irish, Asian, and American cuisine. Visitors can also explore local designer boutiques that offer unique clothing and crafts. The National Photographic Archive showcases Ireland's historical past while contemporary art can be found at Project Arts Centre and Temple Bar Gallery + Studios.

Dublin Castle, a historic establishment dating back to 1204, contains two museums, cafes, gardens, state rooms, and a library. Despite being the capital of Ireland, Dublin has a compact and village-like atmosphere that makes it easily navigable on foot. The city's architecture is both spectacular and charmingly mismatched, providing great character along with its lively pub scene and rich history.

This large, green park is located in the heart of Dublin and is perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The park features a beautiful ornamental lake, waterfall, sculptures and a children's playground. It has been maintained in its original Victorian layout with extensive perimeter tree and shrub planting, spectacular spring and summer Victorian bedding.

The Irish Whiskey Museum is a great place to learn all about the history of whiskey and the process that goes into making it. They have interactive exhibits, along with a tasting at the end, so you can get a taste of some different whiskeys.
