Our story began about 21 years ago...at least this time around. Life has a funny way of cycling...people...places...things. The most important things to share about our story are that since we have been recycled into one another's lives are first, we have been in varying seasons of amends, reparations, and retribution. And second, these seasons have been dually fortified by our ever strengthening relationships within both of our families, both individually, and together. Many of you have already been witness to these important facets of life. When we decided to pursue a life together, we made promises to one another that above all else, we would not continue to pursue a relationship unless we could be certain that we would only lift one another up, and not hurt one another, or compromise the healing each of us was so desperately needing. And here we are today. Still perusing this relationship, still honoring the other with that promise. Its not easy, nothing worth having is. But its the most worth while pursuit I have ever engaged in. We are the best of friends. We know each others strengths and weaknesses. Failures and successes. Fears and hopes. And everything else in between. We have achieved together, so many things that either of us were unable to achieve on our own. We have been wonderfully beautifully placed together. We have held each other up through trials and tribulations that no living soul could rightly ask another to attend their needs through. We have Laughed bigger than than ever before. We have cried together when words could never express the amount of empathy we wanted to express. We have been their for each others children, families, and even friends in ways only the 2 of us, and whoever we were stiving to support might ever know. Together we have attained a balance and humility in this life, that for a very long time seemed as if it might not have been in the cards for either of us. Its very important how you interpret the cards. Cheers to the Ten of Cups! Cheers to all of you! And Cheers to my beautiful bride to be.
