Ole Smoky Distillery has expanded their presence in Tennessee by joining forces with Yee Haw Brewing Company to collectively open a complex in Nashville’s area of SoBro. The venue features a distillery, brewery, bars, tasting areas, beer & bottle shops, merchandise, big screen TVs and live entertainment. Visitors will be able to enjoy moonshine, cocktails, beer by the glass, and food.
Historic RCA Studio B—once home to musical titans such as Elvis Presley, Chet Atkins, Eddy Arnold, Roy Orbison and the Everly Brothers—is one of the world’s most famous recording facilities. Today it serves as a popular cultural attraction and as a classroom for students who visit the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. Visitors can stand where Roy Orbison recorded the heartbroken “Only the Lonely” or Dolly Parton tracked the classic “Coat of Many Colors.” Built in 1957, Historic RCA Studio B operated for 20 years as the recording home of many famous artists in pop, rock, R&B and country music. Thousands of sessions were recorded within its walls, including more than 240 songs by Country Music Hall of Fame member Elvis Presley.
In Nashville’s Centennial Park, you’ll find the world’s only full-scale reproduction of the ancient Parthenon in Athens, Greece. The Parthenon houses an art gallery and museum as well as Alan LeQuire’s Athena Parthenos. Standing at almost 42 feet in height, Athena is the tallest indoor sculpture in the Western world. Just a mile from The Parthenon is the LeQuire Gallery, where you can visit Alan in his studio and witness one of the nation’s premier sculptors.
