For years, we both tried to meet our somebody the old-fashioned way. You know what I’m talking about. It starts by seeing a cute stranger from across the room and going up to start a conversation with them that leads to fireworks. It wasn’t working. Both of us had long or strange work hours and the people we were meeting just didn’t meet the standards we had for ourselves.&nbsp;We luckily found each other online, I just got on to eharmony and she was actually about to give up and get off after about a year of trying.&nbsp;After a few amazing phone dates where we talked about sports, hobbies, work, life, goals, and obviously more sports, we went on our first date to see Carrie Underwood perform live at the American Airlines Center. Both of us were extremely nervous beforehand because the phone dates had gone so well and we both didn’t want to scare the other way. The night went perfectly and we continued to see each other as much as we could. We went to Fightin’ Texas Aggie football and baseball games, Major League baseball games, met each others families, hunted, had classic movie night dates, and had quiet nights where we just enjoyed each other’s company.&nbsp;We knew pretty early on that we were meant for each other.&nbsp;Life around us had some severe lows, but the love, support, and belief we experienced from one another helped us grow stronger as team and solidifying in both of our minds that no matter how hard life can get, it’s going to be easier because we have each other.&nbsp;After about a year and a half of dating, it was time to take this to the next level. On November 30th, 2024, we got engaged underneath the Century Tree on the campus of Texas A&amp;M University. For those unfamiliar, the Century Tree is a live oak that has grown over a walkway. For generations, Aggies have believed that if you walk underneath it with the love of your life, you will be together forever.
