We actually met 7 years ago working together at Long Shots and instantly connected. We remained friends but lost touch when Michael went to the Navy. Then, a little over 2 years ago we ran into each other at Long Shots again! Michael had just gotten out of the Navy and popped in to say hi to everyone. I, similarly, had stopped by just to say hi to a few people. We spent a little time catching up with one another, but he was leaving for Florida for a month to spend time with his family. During that time, I was asked to pick up a shift at the bar again, and to my surprise, he started working that shift with me once he got back from Florida. It felt like old times, and the connection was still there. We've never been apart since.
