In January 2020, fate (Hinge) brought Connor and Jen together at the iconic Bondi Beach where Jen was living. Their connection was undeniable. They embarked on a month-long road trip up the Queensland coast and back, which sparked the first of many adventures. It didn't take long for them to move in together, and they soon settled in the beautiful Illawarra region. In 2023, Connor popped the question, and Jen said yes. Their future is looking bright, and their adventure is just beginning.

There are also a ton of airbnbs in the area! Buses and trains run from Wollongong to Coalcliff :) Sydney is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Thirroul and the South Coast by train (1 hour by car) -- trains run every hour from Central Station in Sydney. The South Coast Line will take you directly to Thirroul and the northern Illawarra. Google Maps is the best way to navigate public transport. PSA: AUSTRALIANS DRIVE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD. If you rent a car, just be aware of this. It's totally do-able if you usually drive on the right side, but can be slightly uncomfortable or nerve-wracking for the first few times 😅.
