Our story starts in November of 2009, when we met in Sophomore Year at Mira Mesa High School. Thinking she was the most gorgeous girl in the entire school, as well as sharing so many obscure and similar interests, I was intrigued and wanted to learn more.

Our friendship blossomed into a relationship in April of 2012, our senior year. While we had the privilege to attend prom together and hold hands seated next to each other in graduation, unfortunately, we went our separate ways later that month, per poor communication.

Our second chapter together began in Feburary 2018 when Jen and I had established mutual conversations over Instagram, leading to a growing interest in one another. Our texts turned in video calls in June the following year when we made our first video chat together in 7 years. It was our main source of spending time together, culminating in our realization in October that we felt we could naturally give our relationship another go. Coming back to San Diego in December, Jen and I had the opportunity to spend Christmas together, feeling the in-person chemistry as we had over video. We didn't realize how little time we had together in the coming months.

March 2020 forced so many of us to separate, including Jen and I. Under stress and sadness, we wouldn't have been able to survive without understanding, empathy, and patience with each other as we had to navigate this difficult 15 months separated. Reuniting the second time in June 2021, our relationship would feel more fruitful and lively, leading to our decision to build a life together under one roof in November of 2022.

To this day, we have our little apartment we have been able to call our home, and with our two dogs, we are excited to begin our lives together as husband and wife.
