It was September, another beautiful one in Chicago, filled with trees changing color and waning daylight. There was a buzz about the city, one that is hard to explain unless you've lived in Chicago for a summer.

It is December in New York and we are walking down 5th avenue, the buzz of the holidays in the air. Times Square is crowded with joy and laughter, kids playing tag and asking Santa for presents.

I get off the L in a hurry, knowing I'm five minutes late. I really hope she will understand!

We turn towards 6th street, I see Rockefeller Center, Radio City, and all of the dazzling lights, for New York is the 'Christmas Spectacular'. There's a line to get in already! But it's okay, I have a surprise in store.

I walk into Public House, frazzled and out of breath. I'm looking for a beautiful blonde.

We approach the line to the show and I ask "where do we go to MEET the Rockettes." Her eyes light up with the city as we bypass the lines. Everything is perfect.

She texts me. "I'm by the far window and in a black jacket."

We kiss.

I see her, don't be shy now Chris! She says, "Hi, I'm Jenny!". I say, "Hi, I'm Chris. Sorry I am late!" We hug. She is gorgeous!!!

The Rockettes are everything she dreamed of as a little girl, and she whispers to me, "I love you,"

The night passes quickly with good food, drinks, and conversation. She says, "I had so much fun tonight!" and I say, "Let's do it again soon!"

I pull out the ring and ask Jenny to marry me...

As a cab pulls up, I think to myself "she could be the one."

She says "YES!"
