A Little Kitty in Our Lives

Medical School is no small feat and most would say it is an honor to be accepted into, but let me tell you it is a grueling marathon that continues to this day. The grueling hours of studying and balancing different fields of study as well as trying to polish your resume for the next hurdle of applications is endless!! The stress levels were endless and the nights were just filled with coffee, but I finally caved and said I needed a support animal even though I was not having any mental break down but it was a nice stress relief.

Michael of course supported the idea as he was worried about my sanity for lack of a better word. We picked up this little kitty named Tigress whom we later renamed as "Zoey" as he said I wouldn't be able to come up with a name that started with "Z" for her. HAH!! I showed him.

My cat allergies kicked in shortly after with runny nose and watery eyes and congestion of which Michael started freaking out and said we should return her, but I refused and said I would take pills if I needed to and even when I sounded horrible it would be okay! It really did get better and no I did not have to medicate myself daily, I just got used to it.

A wonderful addition to our lives <3 It was adopting her that made Michael think we were more of a family now and he later told me that he could see me as a mom. :)
