Jenn and Mike’s journey began on New Year’s Eve in 2011, when they met at a party Jenn was hosting. Mike’s friend, Tim, brought him along, and it turned out to be a fateful introduction. Shortly after, Jenn needed one more player for her volleyball team, and Tim immediately thought of Mike. From that point on, the two became fast friends.

Over the years, their friendship deepened as they played volleyball, hung out with friends, traveled together, and took on new challenges side by side. They ran mud races, lifted weights at XSport Fitness, and even made time to see movies together. Their bond grew stronger with each shared experience, but it wasn’t until 2020 that things began to change.

As the world around them slowed down, Jenn and Mike found themselves talking daily, and their friendship blossomed into something more. One beautiful summer day, while on the boat with Mike and his family, Jenn had a realization: she was in love with him. Deciding to take a leap of faith, Jenn wanted to express her feelings in a special way.

She remembered a scene from a movie and decided to use it to reveal her love. Mike had always said that dating a single father was no easy task, and Jenn knew this. One evening, Mike invited her over, and she presented him with a small gift—a container of Play-Doh. As she handed it to him, she told him that sometimes, life is just a matter of making small adjustments, just like with Play-Doh.

That night, they shared their first kiss, marking the beginning of their love story. It was a moment that signified not just the start of their romantic relationship, but the merging of two lives that had been intertwined in friendship for so long.

Then, on April 27th, 2023, Mike took their relationship to new heights—literally. While they were on a mountaintop in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, he proposed to Jenn, setting the stage for the next chapter of their lives together.
