“867-5309”… it all began with this number. If you are a music aficionado then no more explanation needed. For the others, let’s begin with this. “Hey Jenny, Jenny, who can I turn to? You give me something I can hold on to. I know you'll think I'm like the others before. Who saw your name and number on the wall…” – Tommy Totone

LOL… no, Tom did not find Jen’s number on the wall. But as fate would have it, this song and its band name do in fact have a lot to do with the beginning of how Tom and Jen met.

In this day and age, finding your soul mate requires that you have an on-line dating profile. A “successful” profile must include a combination of striking photos, a resume of potential, and a witty profile name. Tom’s witty profile name “Tommy2tone” caught the attention of Jen when she opened his first message to her. Admiring his courage to reach out to Jen (whom we all know is “a bit” older) she thought to herself “What does this younger guy want with me?” After a few written exchanges, and at his request for her phone number, Jen thought “If I write back 867-5309 AND Tommy2tone gets my reference to the hit song from the 80's, then it is possible this younger guy might just be an old soul.” Fast forward 5 years... after falling in love, traveling together, meeting one another's friends and family, getting the stamp of approval from Jen's daughter Aisy, building a home and importing a beloved cat from Poland, Tom purchased a ring. Unbeknownst to Jen, several months earlier Tom asked Aisy for her blessing, she said “Yes, on one condition... I can try on the ring first!” For three months, Aisy kept the proposal a secret and anxiously awaited to hear if her mom would say yes, on New Year's Eve. With a chilled bottle of their shared favorite, Dom Perion, and an affinity for soft jazz playing in the background, Tom got down on one knee and said, “You and Aislyn are my life. I love both of you so much...” and with that, before Tom could even get the question out... Jen answered with a resounding YES! So it's with our filled hearts that we thank you so much for all of your love and support! We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with all of our favorite people.
