We kindly ask that you leave your children at home during the ceremony and reception.
If you're traveling from out of town, we would be happy to help facilitate finding reliable childcare for Saturday night.
What's the dress code?
Formal attire. Please feel free to wear knee-length or longer dresses, jumpsuits/pantsuits, or dark colored suits with tie.
Can I bring a guest?
Due to venue capacity, we cannot accommodate guest requests or additional persons who have not been specifically invited. The names of invited parties will be on both the envelope containing your invitation, as well as the RSVP card.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes! Immediately across the street from The State Room is the Albany Hilton. You may park in the hotel's parking garage. The State Room will validate so you will not have to pay.
Please do not drive if you intend to drink and don't have a designated driver! The venue is in the heart of Albany, and Ubers will be plentiful. The State Room is also approximately .3 miles from the Albany Renaissance Hotel, where the bride and groom will be staying.
I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
If you have any food allergies or need kitchen accommodations, The State Room asks that you reach out to them directly in order for them to create your custom menu for the evening.
Please call State Room proprietors Tom and Lisa at (518) 432-7773 when you submit your RSVP.
Do you have a room block anywhere?
No, we are not planning to have a room block. There are three hotels in very close proximity to the State Room, with a variety of price points. Because of this, we want everyone to have the choice of their preferred lodgings. The bride and groom will be staying at the Renaissance Albany Hotel, and other options include the Albany Hilton and the Albany Fairfield Inn and Suites. All hotels are within walking distance of the venue and the after party location.
