Our story began in the ER, where long shifts, shared space, and a lot of unexpected moments brought us together. Jared was completing his paramedic clinicals, and Jennifer was working as the unit clerk. From the very beginning, Jared made sure Jennifer noticed him — sitting beside her on a rolling chair, pestering her any chance he got, and even managing to break her computer in the process. Jennifer’s first impression? He was super annoying. Somehow, though, all that chaos turned into conversation, laughter, and a connection neither of us expected.

Our first date was at Andy’s on July 22, 2022. What was meant to be a quick stop turned into two hours of talking without either of us realizing how much time had passed. From that night on, things felt easy. Just a couple weeks later, on August 4, 2022, we officially started dating.

Our relationship has been shaped by simple moments and meaningful time together — countless road trips to Marceline to visit Jennifer’s family, long drives filled with conversation, laughter, and learning what it means to truly show up for one another. One of our favorite memories was a week-long trip to Tennessee for a wedding, which became our first real vacation together and showed us just how much we love doing life side by side.

On June 30, 2025, after returning home from visiting Jennifer’s family, Jared decided it was time. After asking “Yes or no?” more times than Jennifer would like to admit, he finally proposed at home — turning a night full of nerves into one filled with love, laughter, and a very easy “yes.”

We are so excited to begin this next chapter together and are incredibly grateful for the love and support of our family and friends. We can’t wait to celebrate with you as we start a lifetime rooted in love, laughter, and togetherness.
