Q + A

What do we need to know about this wedding?

Jason and I have chosen a casual, fun wedding theme. I plan on wearing tennis shoes with my dress! The ceremony will begin promptly (we hope) at 3pm. We plan to hold the ceremony at the back wooded location. If the weather does not cooperate, we will move the ceremony to in front of the fireplace inside the barn area. Following the ceremony, guests will move into the barn area while the wedding party and family members take pictures. Appetizers and drinks will be available doing the pictures. After the pictures, guests will be asked sit down and the wedding party and wedding couple will join the reception. Dinner will be available, buffet style, Please plan on joining us for dancing, laughing, having fun and celebrating the start of our next chapter!

What is the dress code?

We are recommending business casual. We want everyone to have fun and relax,

Will there be an open bar?

We will be providing beer, seltzers, iced tea, lemonade, soda and water. Due to the license at the venu, no other alcohol can be brought in.

Where can we stay in the area?

Our venue is located between Bellefontaine and Sidney. It is about 20 minutes from either town. The Indian Lake area is also nearby, just a little bit west of Bellefontaine. Based on recent events, I would suggest skipping the Comfort Inn in Bellefontaine.

What is there to do in the local area?

Bellefontaine has a number of restaurants in town. 600 Downtown is one of our favorites. They serve wood fired pizza, pasta, calzones, salads, and desserts. Garlic knots and pepperonis are a favorite. Don’t miss the Natural Casing Pepperoni! Don's Downtown Diner has burgers, milkshakes, salads and other sandwiches, They are a small spot but well worth it! We like Kiyomi Sushi and Steakhouse when we are in the mood for Chinese or Japanese food. Other ideas Ohio Caverns - about 20 minutes from Bellefontaine near West Liberty. They are home the one of the largest stalactites in the world, The Crystal King. Indian Lake State Park - about 20 minutes west of town. They have boating, fishing, swimming and other park activities. There are also several restaurants and shops with a lake life theme. Neil Armstrong Museum - Wapakoneta. This is bit farther away about 40 minutes. They are home to space related items and a few places that are related to the history of space travel, National Museum of the US Airforce, Carillon Park and Boonshoft Museum of Discovery are all in Dayton. They are a little bit over an hour away, The Air Force Museum is an amazing home to lots of planes, memorabilia and other items from the Air Force. Carillon Park has items from The Wright Brothers, a nesting pair of Bald Eagles, and a new exhibit on the history of Paper Mills in Ohio. The Boons Hoft Museum is a children's museum, It has a rotating set of exhibits. They have a climbing tree inside that is a huge jungle gym. Columsus is about an hour east of Bellefontaine. They are home to lots of things to do including COSI, The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Franklin Park Conservatory and the Ohio State University. The shopping and restraints are too many to mention. Hope this helps!

Where are you registered?

We both have the full complement of household items and other things. The gift of your presence at our wedding is the only gift we need.
