Our story begins like most modern day love stories, on the internet. One sunny August day, two then strangers caught each other’s eye on Bumble and it was a match! We messaged almost nonstop for a few days before we decided that a real life date was in order.

We met up for dinner and then decided to walk it off at Brady’s Run Park. We walked around for a while before finding a park bench that we occupied for hours. Our conversation lasted well after dark and only decided we should call it a night once the wind picked up as a storm rolled in. We parted ways but both knew we had met someone special that night. From that night on, we were inseparable. We quickly made it official and have been each other’s person ever since.

Fast forward to Valentine’s Day 2023. We had decided to skip the love festivities this year but being an unseasonably warm night, decided to go for a walk instead. We ended up at Riverview Park, one of our favorite spots to hike and explore. At the top of the hill at the base of the Observatory but overlooking the lights of Pittsburgh, Brian got down on one knee to “get a rock out of his shoe” but ended up pulling out a much shinier rock than expected! Of course, it was a big yes!

Brian is a native of Knoxville Tennessee and moved to Pennsylvania in 2016 for his job. He is an avid Hot Wheels collector and loves all things mechanical. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the great outdoors, kayaking and hiking. Anyone who knows him will say he is one of the friendliest guys you will ever meet.

Jen is a Yinzer but loves to travel, evident by her long career in the travel industry. She loves road trips, hiking, live music and cooking. Most of all she loves spending time with her friends and family and doing her best to make people laugh. Together, Jen & Brian enjoy spending time with Jen’s son Logan and their 2 kitties.
