Thomas and Jenn met during the very first week of their freshman year at Ohio University. Jenn and her roommate, Adele, had just brought home two goldfish—Stacy and Harold. Unfortunately, Harold didn’t last long. As a joke, Adele made a tiny “gravestone” out of a sticky note and placed it on their door.

Later that evening, while they were hanging out in their room, they overheard a group of guys in the hallway animatedly discussing the 'tragedy.' One voice stood out—Thomas, practically yelling about how crazy it was that someone had already managed to kill a fish. Adele didn't miss a beat; she flung the door open and gave them a piece of her mind. Just like that, Thomas and Jenn met for the first time.

Over the following year, Thomas and Jenn became friends as their paths continued to cross. Both were in the College of Engineering and shared many of the same classes, slowly building a connection that felt easy and natural.

By the middle of their sophomore year, they found themselves spending more and more time together. In November 2019, Thomas officially asked Jenn to be his girlfriend—and what began as a friendship quickly grew into something much more.

They continued dating throughout college, supporting one another through classes, late nights, and major milestones. After a year of medium-distance between Columbus, Pittsburgh and Cleveland, Jenn made the move to Cleveland, beginning the next chapter of their relationship: building a life together under one roof. After two years in Cleveland, Thomas and Jenn decided to move to Pittsburgh to be closer to friends and family - and to the place they currently call home.

On November 26, 2025, Thomas asked Jenn a very important question - he asked her to marry him. She said yes, and the rest of their story is just beginning.
