After 41 years of waiting and Spencer hoping that the third time's the charm we have finally found the one we are supposed to spend the rest of our lives with. From the first handshake to Spencer's recent decision to be baptized we have gone through a lot of ups and downs. We have worked together and independently to better our relationship and are ready to take on the journey of a marriage!

Our Wedding

I wasn't really looking at the time, but got a text from a friend asking what my dating life was like. I told her it was nonexistent and she said she had a date for me! I got some more information and decided to give him my number. He texted me that night and over the next week I learned that I was going to need a dictionary if anything was going to happen with this guy because I had to look up most of the words he was using. I also wasn't a big fan of the long beard he was sporting at the time. I was busy taking my 40th year birthday trips so it was almost 3 weeks before we actually got to go out. I was just going on the date to say I tried, but wasn't interested in it going anywhere. We met at Rivertown Brewery for dinner and after a 3 hour meal and only leaving because the place was closing I was thinking this guy is pretty funny and interesting after all. I went in for a hug to end the night and Spencer was just going to give a friendly handshake...hahaha. I was on my way out of town again so we texted constantly over the next few days with me hinting that I liked the pictures of him with a shorter beard. By our next date to the Reds game the beard was gone and my heart had been taken. I told the ladies at school the next day that I was going to marry him. Spencer has loved me since the first time we met and puts up with a lot. He's done everything I've asked him to work on and more. I love him and Oliver more and more every day and I can't wait to marry him!!!

Jennifer

I had tried conventional dating sites that appeared to only be a place for people to hook up, and that is not what I wanted in my life. I had been struggling with how my previous relationships ended with the other party leaving the relationship. This made me believe I was inadequate. Jennifer showed me I was more than adequate and that I was worth a lot! She has provided us a foundation that has enabled me to find Jesus. From the first time I saw a picture of her, till shaking her hand I was enthralled by her beauty. Her immaculate posture, loud laugh, and hearty belches gave me an insight into who was my heart's match! Jennifer has been the opposite of what I had grown to expect. She is woman of class, who demands my time and tells me when I'm wrong. She has helped me be a better person, though we are always a process in the making. Her love patience and dedication to Oliver and me fills me with a hope, and joy!
