Our Wedding

Brian and Jenn were set up by a mutual friend. After Jenn gave her friend Tiffany permission to pass along her phone number to Brian, he gave Jenn a call and they starting chatting and texting. It was about a week after they first started talking that Brian asked Jenn out on a date. On March 16, 2012, Jenn and Brian met up at Mamma Melina's for happy hour. They had such a good time at happy hour that the pair decided to head down the street to the Duchess Tavern to play shuffleboard. Even though Jenn beat Brian at shuffleboard, they still continued the evening and ended up at one more bar to play pool and darts. Needless to say, it was a great first date !

How We Met

Brian proposed to Jenn in Whistler, Canada on October 10, 2015. They traveled to Whistler for a weekend trip with their friends Nathan and Rachel so that the boys could enjoy the last weekend of the downhill bike park season. Brian had planned to propose at the top of Whistler Mountain after a gondola ride, but the weather wasn't cooperating. After the boys returned from their day of riding on the (very) rainy mountain, the group decided to take a walk through the village and grab some drinks at Whistler Brew Pub. Just outside of the pub, Brian suggested that Rachel and Nathan get their picture taken in front of the Olympic Rings. Then it was Brian and Jenn's turn. Much to Jenn's dismay, Rachel and Nathan kept taking pictures; she was starting to worry that they were holding up the line of tourists, and it was starting to drizzle. Then Brian turned to Jenn and said, "There's a real reason that we're here this weekend," as he pulled a box out of his jacket pocket and got down on one knee. After a very sweet proposal speech, Jenn obviously said "yes!"

This is a great spot for a day hike. It's 4 miles round trip with an 1160 ft. elevation gain. No parking permit is required for the lot, which is a plus! Driving Directions: From Seattle, drive east on I-90 to exit 32 for 436th Avenue SE. Turn right onto 436th Avenue SE, also signed as Cedar Falls Road SE. Proceed about four miles down the road to the Rattlesnake Lake parking lot on the right.

Rattlesnake Ridge

This is one of our favorite breweries. They have a great beer selection (we recommend you try a sampler) and the drive there is pretty. They don't serve food but you can order from Commonwealth next door, or one of the restaurants/food trucks nearby, and eat inside their taproom.

Dru Bru

Downtown Snoqualmie has lots of little shops, cafes, and restaurants. The Northwest Railway Museum is also located in downtown.
