Our first date was June 19th 2021, we meet at Bruster's homemade ice cream. Obviously it has become our favorite places to go on our anniversaries.

He was calm and super understanding with the process as I cared for my mom. His pacience and openness to hang out and playing games with Mom and Juany spoke volumes. Both my mom and Juany saw the goodness in his heart. He was an answered prayer in my most vulnerable time of need.

The fact that we walked that journey together gave us a strong bond as we started our relationship. We shared laughs, tears and lots of supportive hugs.

As my life got turned upside down, Chris became my constant and my rock. He supported me quietly as my family gathered and we dealth with the changes that approached. As we sold my childhood home he was there to help and do what we needed to make it a smooth process.

At that point I went from a party of 1 to a party of 3. Juany, Chris and I become a trio, we did almost everything together. We went on hikes, to botanical gardens and nature walks, we all discovered new places together as our relationships grew.

Since Juany was now living with me, I was looking for a bigger home for Juany and I, we looked for about a year. Chris would go and look with us as we sifted through the fixer uppers and the ridiculous homes that were selling for way too much. As our relationship grew, we got to the point where we knew that we wanted to have a life together.

This desire become more of a reality when we found the perfect house for the three of us. We all knew that we had to put in an offer because this house was perfect for us and the perfect space for each of us. As we went through the buying process, it just seemed like the doors were opening in our favor. It was a true blessing!

But I was misisng the ring, was he ready to start a life together? He did not give me any hints that he had a plan, so I questioned his commitment. He calmly told me he was all in, really, but show me I thought...and then we went for a walk to the San Clemente pier. Little did I know that he had a plan, a well thought out plan. and before I knew it he dropped to a knee and asked me to marry him.
