Josh and I met about 8 years ago. He was a boy from South Georgia, and I was a girl from North Texas, meeting at a work training in Inglewood, CO. What are the odds that the two of us would be dating, let alone get married and start a life together?! Probably very slim. After a friendship of 3 years, we couldn’t deny that we were interested in each other. But how would we manage that? After all, we were living in different states. We agreed that if we were still together after a year of long distance, I would move to Georgia. Of course, our love just grew and after a year, I found myself living in Atlanta. We always joke that Josh won the battle and I won the war. Because after just about 3 years, our careers lead us back to my home state. Josh always wanted a “Texas Tour,” when he first moved here, as he didn’t know much about this wonderful country, that is Texas. Along that tour, we planned a weekend getaway at the famous Gage Hotel in Marathon, TX where Josh proposed to me after 5 years dating.
We are over the moon to become husband and wife and start a family together.
