Jenny and John met on the first day of freshman year at Lehigh University. They both had a super nerdy math class together for the first class of their freshman year. Between frequent calculus study sessions and hanging out on the weekends, they quickly became best friends. Over the course of the years, Jenny and John spent hours studying together, went to date parties together, went to London together to visit friends and even spent some time in each other's hometowns and vacation homes. Finally, after some convincing, Jenny and John decided to turn their friendship into something more. On 3/12/2012, Jenny and John had their first kiss, forever changing their relationship and stealing the show on Annie's birthday. Since then, they have been happily together.

After graduation, Jenny moved to Florida for work and John moved to Charlotte, but despite the distance they always found a way to make their relationship work. Even when John moved to Seattle (2,680 miles apart), Jenny and John were patient and confident that everything would work out. They met up monthly and took the opportunity to explore the country together, visiting destination such as Chicago, Key West, Orlando, Oregon, San Francisco, Kansas City, Denver, St. Louis, Green Bay (home of the Pack!), Indianapolis, Belize and Mexico.

During one of their weekend trips in Chicago, Jenny and John planned to meet up with one of John's friends in the Drake Hotel (or so Jenny thought!). John surprised Jenny with a beautiful proposal, with candles, flowers and a touching speech - not to mention a gorgeous ring! After the proposal, John insisted that they return quickly to his Dad's apartment to pick up some things. When they arrived, Jenny was surpised to find both families waiting with food and plenty of champagne to celebrate! They reserved the rooftop deck and enjoyed the night, which was made even more perfect by spontaneous fireworks above navy pier. It meant the world to both of them that they were able to celebrate the engagement with both of their families together.
