Our Wedding

Josiah met Jenny on April 12th, when he accidentally cut her in line for the clock-in machine at TTM. Fortunately, she still decided to talk to him like a normal upstanding citizen. On June 22nd, after countless “conveniently timed” breaks, Jenny mustered up the courage to ask “do you like coffee? Or tea?” Having recently done some research on different kinds of coffee, Josiah responded with a tirade of information concerning the health benefits of different styles. For those curious, he hates coffee, but drinks it black anyway. A few hours later it dawned on him that she was in fact trying to ask him out. Two days later, Jenny clarified that she intended to ask him out. He swore that he was planning on giving her his number, but kept forgetting to write it down. On June 26th, 2020, they had their first date at BJ’s Coffee. Due to the new pandemic restrictions, Jenny invited (kidnapped) Josiah to her place to drink Chai tea and watch TV.

Do you like coffee?

On March 26th, 2021, Josiah took Jenny out to McMenamins on a totally casual date in fancy clothes. Little did she know, the little clearing in front of the full-blooming Magnolia tree would be the place she would be asked a relatively important question: “Will you marry me?” After a rush of emotion and an explanation of recent events leading up to the current situation, she was taken to see the movie Airplane in a rented out theater room for just the two of them.

Camping

Available at any of the sites on the Camp Clark property, as well as the beach. There is no limit to the amount of space you can occupy- it's just first come, first served. Access to the kitchen is allowed, but be aware that it will be used to cook reception meals and the rehearsal dinner. The whole Camp Clark is booked and paid for by us from Friday evening to Sunday morning.

Beach Shenanigans

Make a sandcastle, find seashells, investigate the tidepools, make a fire, or anything a classic beach getaway may entail. Be wary of jellyfish, and be sure to pack extra items to keep your experience pleasurable (like clothes, swimsuits, towels, and toiletries.) Do be careful in the strong waves, there is the potential for rip tides and a strong undertow can be very dangerous for not only small children but adults as well.

Berry Picking

While taking anything that is a part of the ecosystem is frowned upon, berry picking is absolutely fine! Huckleberries in particular grow abundantly on the property. Be sure to ask someone with experience before eating any, otherwise you could be in for a bad reaction. A lot of the groom's family is very familiar with the area, and could provide assistance.

Hiking

Hike around the property's many trails, walk the beautiful beach, or set up a tour with a frequent camper. The neighboring Camp Meriwether is particularly fabulous, but would require a little arranging with the camp ranger.

Partying

The wedding reception will be the perfect time to get to know friends and family of the bride and groom. Supervised drinking, dancing, taco bar, and pictures are some of the things that will be put on for the event!
