These two have been a package deal since June 9, 2011. Our love story begins in seventh grade science class when Elisa had asked Jake and Jenny to be in a group with her for a project. Jenny was spending the night at her grandparents during a famous “all-five sleepover”. She and Jasmine were bored late at night, so she sent Jake a “Hey:)”, and the rest is history! Jen would later go on to claim she “called dibs” on Jake at seventh grade orientation.

During seventh grade art class, Jon told Jenny that Jake had a surprise for her after school. This of course ruined Jake asking Jen to be his girlfriend, but as you can see, Jon was quickly forgiven and given the title of Best Man.

Inseparable through high school, the two graduated in the Armstrong High School Class of 2016. They then went on to nursing school, Jake at IUP and Jen at Carlow. Upon graduating in 2020, (and passing their NCLEX on the same day) they started their nursing careers in Pittsburgh, and would carpool when they could. They both now work at ACMH and are the brunt of a lot of jokes from their colleagues.

In February of 2021, they bought their house in West Kittanning. Jen began feeding a stray cat and would let him in the house while Jake was at work. His name is now Paprika (or Mr. P), and he sleeps on a king-size bed every night. Jake then decided that Mr. P needed a friend. In March of 2023, Smoke came home from Four Footed Friends in Indiana PA. And then came Stevie. Stevie is the famous, crazy little golden retriever that Jen begged for. After growing overly annoyed, Jake bought Stevie as Jen’s Christmas present.

On the first chilly night of September, Jake informed Jen that he had made reservations at Flavio’s in Apollo. Jen was SURE that Jake was going to propose there. Why else would he spontaneously make a reservation?! Dinner came and went, drinks with Bob and Donna at the Ford City Eagles came and went, and Jen was ready for bed. Lying in her pajamas in bed, Jake said that Stevie had something for her. Stevie came running back the hallway onto the bed with the ring box in her mouth! Stunned, all Jen could say was “is this real???” And here we are, it’s real!
